Happy New Year!! We hope everyone had a long, lovely break from school, work and all things stressful! As we prepare for the start of a new semester, we wanted to share a few important dates for our students and tutors.
Class begins Wednesday, January 15. Be sure to finalize your schedules and notify your academic counselors of any changes.
For new TECHniques students, New Student Orientation will be held on January 15 at either 3pm or 3:45pm. Please RSVP to your academic counselor.
For returning students, Meet Your Tutor Night is January 15 between 3 and 4pm (the earlier the better). Stop by the center, meet your new tutors and exchange contact information so you can begin tutoring.
Monday, January 20, the University and the TECHniques Center will be closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Enjoy a nice relaxing day off of class.
Don’t forget to meet with Student Disability Services and your professors to complete your Letters of Accommodations for the semester. Also, visit the Academic Testing Center to complete the necessary forms and schedule your exams.
On Monday, January 13, New Tutor Training will be held. Check-in begins at 8:45am in the Foyer of Education 001.
All tutor training will held in the Matador Room in the SUB on Tuesday, January 14. Check-in will be at 8:45am. Please be sure to check your emails for updates from Brandi.
Come meet your students for the semester at Meet Your Tutor Night on Wednesday, January 15. Meet at the TECHniques Center by 2:45pm.

Starting January 21, the TECHniques Center will be open 8am to 6pm Monday through Thursday and 8am to 5pm on Fridays. Prior to the 21st, we will be open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
